Samsung Galaxy Ace : RAMDUMP ARM9 Mode Problem
This morning i've got a strange error on my Samsung Galaxy Ace's (SGA) screen during it's boot. It shows up a blank black screen with a text "RAMDUMP Mode (ARM 9 Mode)". I have looking for some sources in Google on how to solve this problem. Many people are advised to do the hard reset / factory reset as pressing the Volume Up and Power simultaneously. There are also some people who suggest to press Home + Power button + Volume Up.
But all these suggestions did not provide a solution to me. So what I did? I just pulled out the SD-card from its slot, then turn the device by pressing the Power button's on. Done! it solved my problem! SGA will boot properly, and after the Android home screen look good, you can safely insert the SD Card into it's slot.
Have a try, and give me your feedback

ReplyDeleteanyone whose facing the same issues please note,
ReplyDeleteYou have to hold Home + Power till and device starts and shows samsung symbol then, let go.
Holding it till samsung appears is very important!
I'm pretty surprised that this is not.mentioned in any of the related forums I've seen. :/

Deleteen ni telefono no hace nada, nada mas parpadea enciendiendo con puros destellos... he tratado de ponerle el odin y tampoco agarra se pone en modo downlouding y no pasa nada por favor alluda... que puedo hacer...
ReplyDeleteThe ramdump and SD card connection is because the phone became corrupted while accessing the SD card and didnt know what to do next, much like a Windows PC saying that it has to scan a hard drive because the PC wasn't shut down properly. The ramdump is a txt allowing a technician to know exactly what the phone was doing at the moment it all went >bang<.
ReplyDeleteThere's quite a few of those types of black screen/white txt messages possible, its a shame that the manufacturers are not more helpful and publish them all to help :( they gain nothing by letting owners down like that.
The difficulty most owners have with phones is that the key pressing combinations are (often) ignored by the phone....Im working on a Galaxy Mini which only responds about 1 in 30 tries, so it takes ages to get anywhere. Why? Ive no idea yet. But this is about the 100th mobile ive done repairs to, and many models are just plain awkward like this.
Yea you're right,
DeleteCould it be that the problem lies in the SD-card slot? SD card-slot does not have some mechanical that locked the card, and only by tightening it only (it just a 'slot', right?). A slight shift, it can cause the SD card is not readable.
I share the same views with you, that's why I tried to removing the SD card it first, and let phone boot properly beforehand
Thanx for coming
Thanks for the tips. Galaxy Ace recovered!
DeleteThe configurantion was chenged because of the installation, now you only need press the bottons power and the central botton to enter. If you press up the error will appear again, with me it works this way.

Hey I was the person the posted the previous comment about your method not working. Well it did its a little frustrating but hey don't give up guys follow there method hold home screen button + power and wait till samsung screen pops up it might flicker but just keep on holding until you got a solid samsung screen let go as soon as its stable. Now when that happens an android guy will pop up it'll ask you to restart device and some other options you select the options with the volume up and down and by clickin the home button to choose the option you wish to take now click on the option that says "wipe data n cache" it totally erases your previous data on your cell phone. After you click that option choose the resart option with the home button. Your phn will then restart n be as good as new. Im currently using my phone that was having those problems so thanks guys for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWORKING GREAT NOW THANKS

ReplyDeleteHello. I have problem with galaxy Mini 2. It has a bootloop so I would like to install new ROM. I downloaded ODIN and software and I try turn on download mode but I received a communicat 'ramdump arm9 mode ". When I turn on buttons - Power and MENU the phone has vibrations every each 3 seconds and nothing changes. When I turn on odin and click start Button he wrote: SetupConnection.. and nothing is done.
ReplyDeleteCan you help me please?
This is the EXACT same problem I am having with my Galaxy Mini 2 (S6500). Cannot go into Recovery mode with Vol up + Vol down + Home + Power. If I try to go into download mode, the phone goes into RAM Dump ARM 9 mode. Power + Home button causes the phone to vibrate every couple of seconds. ODIN sees the phone but will not flash it...it just gets stuck at Setup Connection.
Deletebecause ur not in download mode thats why the odin said SetupConnection..nothing happens if that the messege
ReplyDeleteYes. Did you read his comment? That's the issue, bro! The dude said he tries but cannot go into download! What he and I are trying to figure out is HOW TO GET INTO DOWNLOAD MODE on this Galaxy Mini 2????
DeleteThank you :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Pal....just saved my bros phone with this
ReplyDeletenot work for me
ReplyDeleteI am suffering from the same problem on Galaxy S Duos GT S-7562. The phone is on bootloop. Whenever I try to go into recovery or download mode (using combination keys) the phone gets stuck on ARM 9 RAMDUMP MODE and stays stuck there untill I pull out the battery. If I simply try switching it ON, Samsung Galaxy S Duos powered by android appears, vibrates for a couple of seconds, switches off and then restarts with the same thing over again. Can't seem to find any solution. Please help.
ReplyDeleteHolding home and power worked. Thank you so much. Best wishes
